ProJet received an order for a total 8 ProJet High Pressure Cleaners from PT. Adiprima Suparinta for their PM3. The value of the order will not be disclosed. The order was received in July 2023 and will delivered in Q1 2024.
The Cleaners will be supplied along with all auxiliary equipment, pumps, control panels, etc. All pumps are provided with redundant systems for maximum reliability. Adiprima will do a big rebuild of their PM3 which includes the a new Press Section. The new ProJet Power Cleaners are part of that rebuild and will provide maximum cleanliness and permeability to all 3 sections of the machine, Forming-, Press- and Dryer Section.
ProCleaners for Forming Fabrics and Press Felts:
Clean Forming Fabrics and Press Felts, with consistently high permeability and dewatering capabilities, delivers important productivity and performance advantages. Better dewatering in the Forming and Press Section leads substantial improvement in dryness level when the sheet leaves the Press Section. Press Felts loose dewatering ability due to the increasing use of secondary fibres, recycling of coated broke, increasing use of sheet fillers, an increased use of recycled mill water supplies, and the increased use of process chemicals. The ProJet system consumes very little water, compressed air, and very little electrical energy.
Advantages of a ProCleaner system over a conventional shower:
The ProCleaner for Forming Fabrics and Press Felt uses a single oscillating cleaning head that traverses back and forth over the entire felt width. This provides important advantages over a conventional shower:
- Much lower water consumption, up to 95%
- Strip cleaning, zone cleaning and edge cleaning
- No more dirty streaks caused by plugged nozzles, because all nozzles cover the entire fabric width, instead of only one nozzle covering a certain area
- Different nozzle angles: enhanced cleaning
- Park position outside machine: possible nozzle change during production & automatic self cleaning
Of course, all Power Cleaners for the Dryer Section will be ProJet’s Power Cleaner 2.0, the upgraded version. The upgrade consists of a smaller cleaner head, more nozzles at higher pressure and improved vacuum/discharge system. The combination of all these improvements is an increased cleaning efficiency, exactly what FPC needed for its Dryer Fabrics.
The Power Cleaner cleans the Dryer Fabrics continuously, 24 hours a day, as long as the machine is running. Older technologies are operated in batch cleaning mode, allowing the dryer fabrics to get dirty first, losing permeability, and then trying to restore that permeability again. This leads to uneven permeability profiles over time, mostly leading to paper quality issues and more broke. The above graph shows the advantage of continuous cleaning, leading to a more stable moisture profile, less broke and longer lifetime of fabrics. Dryer fabric contamination is on the rise due to the increasing use of secondary fibres, recycling of coated broke, increasing use of sheet fillers, an increased use of recycled mill water supplies, and the increased use of process chemicals.
ProJet understands that each client application is unique. For that reason, ProJet developed an automated ROI-calculator that will be applied to each application and produced paper grade. By contacting firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com ProJet will perform a no-charge ROI calculation of any Forming Fabric, Press Felt or Dryer Fabric application. After inputting the process parameters provided by customers, they will be provided with a ROI-Analysis of each specific application and investment justification
