ProJet received an order for 2 Forming Fabric Cleaners (ProCleanersTM) from BioPappel, Mexico for their Veracruz mill, for their Paper Machine # 1. The order was received in July 2023 and the value of the order will not be disclosed. Delivery will be in Q4 of 2023.
The order is already the 6th from BioPappel, who are gradually equipping all their paper machines at all production sites with ProJet Cleaners. There is already a total 16 ProJet Cleaners running at other BioPappel mill sites, such as Durango, Tuxtepec and Tizayuca. The 2 Cleaners for the Veracruz-mill will be equipped with ProJet’s ProCleaner Type 2.0. The “2.0” head is equipped with more nozzles for continuous cleaning and enhanced cleaning during sheet breaks, the “ProPlusModeTM”. Cleaning water and contamination is effectively evacuated by a vacuum system.
PM1 produces Medium Board (23-33# at 2,500fpm), using 100% OCC. OCC is known for its extreme contamination on the Paper Machine Clothing. The ProCleaner with the “ProPlusModeTM” is highly effective in maintaining cleanliness and permeability of Forming Fabrics which is exactly the reason that BioPappel continues to choose for ProJet.
The ProCleanerTM Type F (Forming Fabrics) use a single traversing head that cover the fabrics almost three times as fast as the existing conventional oscillating showers. Furthermore, BioPappel expects to achieve substantial water savings because the ProJet Cleaner uses only 5.0litre/min of water; a conventional shower consumes over 160 l/min.
Furthermore, the ProCleanerTN delivers the following operational and performance benefits:
- Substantial cleaning water savings (= operational cost reduction + improved profitability): the Pro Cleaner provides superior cleaning performance, while only consuming 1.3gpm (5.0 liter/min) of water. A conventional oscillating shower consumes over 100gpm of water, leading to substantial more electrical power and waste water treatment costs.
- Water mist elimination is achieved by the application of air knives that contain water mist and contamination, which is discharged through Venturi tubes and finally into a save all pan.
- Targeted cleaning enables an operator to control the Cleaner for not only overall CD fabric/felt cleaning but to also apply targeted zone/strip or edge cleaning.
